Steyn had broke his finger. It seems the hard man of South Africa won’t be playing in the 3rd test. It’s the Ashes 2005 all over again. [Read more →]

Astonishing
July 4th, 2008 · 1 Comment
Here follows a quote from the BBC website from a complete dickhead:
Khan also told BBC Radio 5 Live he resented claims that his side refused to come out and play, adding they were merely delaying their decision to return to the field after being accused of ball tampering.
He said: “I do resent the comments that we refused to go out to play. We delayed coming out to play and informed the English Cricket Board (ECB) and referee three times that we were ready to return to the field.”

England win series 2-0
June 11th, 2008 · 1 Comment
England enjoyed their second consecutive series win against New Zealand after victory at Trent Bridge. The Amazing Ryan Sidebottom took six wickets in the Kiwis’ second innings to give England a 2-0 win in this ‘home leg’. Apparently our next Test Match isn’t against New Zealand; who can remember when that was last the case? Meanwhile we’ve got a Twenty20 and a (no doubt interminable) ODI series against Them What Wears Black Caps. [Read more →]

Egland v NZ; 3rd Test, 3rd Day.
June 7th, 2008 · 6 Comments

With England’s current seam attack, day 3 was all about England (including poor weather).

Day 2. Jimmy eats world.
June 7th, 2008 · No Comments
What a day for James ‘Jimmy’ Anderson. England started the day with Broad and Jimmy at the crease; both got Test High Scores (Broad 64, Anderson 28) before The Boy From Burnley sheared Toursits’ Top Order and followed his best ever batting with his best ever bowling. For New Zealand it has been another good start gone wrong, familiar territory in recents contests. [Read more →]

England v NZ; 3rd Test, 1st Day.
June 6th, 2008 · No Comments
Is it me, or are Cook are Vaughan not on fire? Cook on fire! It was an absorbing day’s cricket, with the BBC OBO providing some usual star moments. After Vettori thrust England in, it looked like a wise move as England slumped to 44-2, but at 84-2 at lunch, England had somewhat recovered.

Media whoosh
May 31st, 2008 · 1 Comment
Interesting the timing our famous friends use when releasing media. Just after a well known ancestry website revealed how Jimmy “Alan Cropper” Anderson, Stuart “Not Very” Broad and Alistair “General Zod” Cook had been using a time machine, they release this ridiculous monstrosity. [Read more →]
