Former England wicket-keeper Chris Read is believed to be considering joining the Indian Cricket League, the controversial Twenty20 tournament due to start later this month in Chennai. The BCCI (Indian Cricket Board) has been joined by the ECB in opposing the tournament and any English player who signs up may suffer in their international, and possibly domestic, career.
Player contracts for the 40 day tournament are believed to be worth £34,000.
