Just 8.5 overs were possible on the 3rd Day at Lords, during which Cook reached 50 as the openers guided England to 89-0. lay was delayed for 25 minutes in the morning, but worse was to follow as there was no cricket at all between lunch and stumps. Strauss (31) and Cook (53) will resume on Sunday morning, weather permitting. A draw is now by far the most likely outcome.
Day 3. Rain.
