England v NZ; 3rd Test, 1st Day.

Is it me, or are Cook are Vaughan not on fire? Cook on fire! It was an absorbing day’s cricket, with the BBC OBO providing some usual star moments. After Vettori thrust England in, it looked like a wise move as England slumped to 44-2, but at 84-2 at lunch, England had somewhat recovered.

Then the moment that inspired Little + Large (Tim and Kev) : “When Strauss was caught, a piece of Kit-Kat fell out of my mouth onto my t-shirt. It’s melted. I now have to go to the hairdressers with chocolate on my t-shirt. Thanks Strauss.”. (Taken from the BBC without asking. In your face “the man”)

Yeah thanks Strauss. I can only presume that Bell and Colly suffered the same fate as they were keen to get out of their whites, lasting minutes together. So less than 100 and 5 down. Oh no! And the last team in the world you want to be in this position against, big hard NZ.

Ambrose and KP then really came to the party. slaughtering them at 3 an over and getting a half and full century respectively. Hurrah! They took England to almost 250 before both fell to tired shots.

With the score at stumps standing at 273-7. I would say that it is pretty even, with England having any edge. NZ stink, which is disappointing. I would love to see them tonk Australia.  England will be hoping to get close to 350, and really get into to NZ.
