Rampant Sri Lanka crush England.
Chasing Sri Lanka’s 499-8 declared, England fell a mere 218 runs short… of avoiding the follow on. Jayawardene made a contribution of 213* towards the host’s massive total, their 3rd in 3 matches. England slumped to 24-4 by lunch.
Needing 300 to avoid the follow on, England went on to make just 81.
